Do you have a passion for cooking and a talent for teaching? Lincoln Park, located in the heart of Chicago, IL, is looking for a Part-Time Chef Instructor to share their culinary expertise with our community. If you thrive in a collaborative environment and love inspiring others to create delicious dishes, we’d love to hear from you!

 

PLEASE NOTE: You MUST commit to teach 15 children (6th - 8th graders) Monday - Thursday from 4-5pm at Berwyn North's Culinary Maker Space. The Shift is 3:30 - 5:30pm. Food will be prepped and delivered to you. You are truly responsible for setting up for the class, bringing the FUN, and cleaning.

 

What You’ll Do

As a Part-Time Chef Instructor, you’ll play a key role in bringing the joy of cooking to life. Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading engaging and hands-on cooking classes for participants of varying skill levels.
- Preparing lesson plans and recipes that are both educational and fun.
- Demonstrating proper cooking techniques and kitchen safety practices.
- Ensuring a welcoming and inclusive environment for all participants.
- Maintaining a clean and organized workspace during and after classes.

 

What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking a candidate who brings both culinary skills and a passion for teaching to the table. Here’s what you’ll need to succeed in this role:
- At least 1 year of experience in a professional culinary setting.
- Strong communication and presentation skills to effectively engage with participants.
- A friendly and approachable demeanor to create a positive learning experience.
- A commitment to punctuality and reliability for scheduled classes.
