Computer Science Software Engineer

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and maintain reliable and scalable software applications.
Analyze technical requirements and translate them into efficient software solutions.

Apply computer science concepts such as data structures, algorithms, object-oriented programming, and system design to solve technical challenges.
Work with databases and data-processing systems to support application functionality and performance.
Identify and troubleshoot software defects, performance issues, and system problems.
Participate in code reviews and contribute to software architecture and technical documentation.
Collaborate with software engineers, data professionals, product teams, and other stakeholders.
Continuously evaluate new technologies and development methodologies to improve software quality and engineering efficiency.

Required Qualifications

Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a closely related field.
Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, object-oriented programming, and software design.
Proficiency in at least one programming language, such as Java, Python, C++, JavaScript, or C#.
Experience with software development, debugging, testing, and version control.
Knowledge of databases and SQL.
Understanding of RESTful APIs and common software development practices.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple technical tasks effectively.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, or CI/CD technologies.
Knowledge of microservices and distributed systems.
Experience with Git and collaborative software development workflows.
Familiarity with machine learning, artificial intelligence, data engineering, or cybersecurity is a plus.
Internship, academic project, or professional experience in software development is preferred.
