Technology Intern                                                      

CSU Strata is seeking an Intern in Technology to work with our Director of Technology on innovative projects and technology support. Additional responsibilities include technical support, hardware and software installation, configuration, deployment, maintenance, and troubleshooting. This position offers hands-on experience engaging with staff, data cleanup, and working in multiple technology software products.

 

QUALIFICATION - Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

Required Education:

Currently enrolled at Colorado State University as a Junior or Senior or graduate student.

Preferred

  • Current enrollment in CSU's College of Business Computer Information System program; undergraduate, graduate level or three years equivalent experience in a similar program or previous work experience.
  • Experience with programming languages such as Python and Visual Studio or similar tools.

Experience/Skills

  • Experience with reporting tools and/or Microsoft Excel. 
  • Basic familiarity with IT concepts, databases, and software tools.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills.

Preferred

Experience with enterprise software NetSuite, SharePoint, Salesforce, Python, and Visual Studio or similar tools.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Technology projects 

Utilize Western IM AI Software to identify and remediate redundant, obsolete, and trivial (ROT) data and assist implementation of data retention policies. Utilize Python and Visual Studio or similar tools along with enterprise tools such as NetSuite, SharePoint, and Salesforce to manage business data.

Work in NetSuite to learn administration (certification available) and reporting to assist Interim Director of Technology sharing data with executive staff.

Technical Support

Engage with staff and provide first-line support handling technology inquiries, troubleshooting basic issues, and escalating as needed on employee’s computers, tablets, and phones. Coordinate with CSU’s DOIT helpdesk to resolve tickets.

General Responsibilities:

Perform additional duties as assigned in support of CSU Strata’s Technology objectives.

Pay range:     $17.00-$20.00/hour depending on experience

Job type:       Part-Time, Nonexempt, 15-25 hours/week

Reports to:    Director of Technology

Benefits:        Sick leave accrual of 1 hours per 30 hours worked to a maximum of 48 hours annually.
