Environmental Frontiers Undergraduate Research Assistant with EFCampus, AY 26-27

The Environmental Frontiers Initiative invites applications for AY 26-27 Undergraduate Research Assistants. EFCampus brings together a variety of campus stakeholders – students, faculty, and staff – to collaboratively explore issues of campus sustainability. It is a unique research opportunity for students interested in environmental issues and broader climate change goals. We are looking for a student to join our Laboratory Building Energy Analysis and Design projects, including working with the Campus Energy and Sustainability teams to assist with the Shut the Sash competition that collects data on fume hood openness, a leading cause of laboratory energy inefficiency, as well as managing a new Freezer Challenge. The role is paid a stipend of $1,650 per quarter and will be part-time (about 10 hours/week) during the quarter. A student with a background in data science and Python is preferred but not required. Work is remote with occasional in-person meetings at the Facilities Services offices in Harper Court, located off 53rd Street.
