Location: West Chester, OH (travel to local project sites required)

Sunesis Construction is seeking a motivated Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Intern to gain hands-on experience supporting safety initiatives on active heavy civil construction projects. You'll work alongside experienced safety and operations professionals while learning how to promote a safe, compliant, and productive work environment. 

What You'll Do

• Assist with jobsite safety inspections and hazard assessments.
• Support OSHA and environmental compliance efforts.
• Participate in incident investigations and corrective action tracking.
• Help conduct safety audits, observations, and safety meetings.
• Assist with training documentation and safety reporting.
• Collaborate with field crews, supervisors, and project teams to promote a strong safety culture.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to visit active construction sites.
• Interest in pursuing a career in construction safety.
