Social Media Manager

Social Media Manager

Location:  Little Rock, AR — onsite

About Priority1

Priority1 was founded in 1995 and has grown into a technology-enabled third-party logistics company moving over 1.5 million shipments a year. We are privately held, debt-free, and partnered with thousands of national and regional carriers across LTL, truckload, and expedited freight. We are a rapidly growing company, with offices and sales teams expanding across the country.

The Role

The core of this role is managing Priority1's online presence through social media — owning our accounts across LinkedIn, Instagram/Facebook (Meta), TikTok, and X. and keeping them active at a high cadence with posts that earn real engagement. Consistency is the job: multiple posts per week on our primary channels, every week, each one built for the platform it lives on. You will set the content strategy, produce the majority of the content yourself, and be accountable for growth, engagement, and pipeline.

The focus is the brand: making Priority1 the name people in this industry know, follow, and want to work with — the most recognizable and best-regarded presence in logistics. Your content will serve several distinct target audiences, which we will discuss in depth during the interview process, and part of the job is knowing which platform and format serves which.

What You'll Own

Posting cadence and calendar. You own the calendar. A high, sustained posting cadence across our primary channels — planned weeks ahead, flexible enough to jump on same-day moments. Quantity alone doesn't count: every post is expected to pull its weight in engagement, and you will retire formats that stop performing.

Content production. You will shoot, edit, and publish. Video is a large piece of the role — you should be comfortable filming on a phone in a loud office, cutting it yourself, and shipping it the same day. We are not looking for someone who briefs an agency.

Platform strategy. Each channel gets its own playbook, and you write it. You will decide what LinkedIn gets, what Instagram gets, what TikTok gets, etc. and why — with real freedom to experiment, test new formats, and build something that stands out in the logistics industry.

Content and storytelling. You will develop content across the full range of what makes Priority1 worth following — our services and technology, our people and culture, our growth story, and the opportunities here for customers, partners, and future employees. Our best material is our people, and you will build repeatable ways to get them on camera and into the feed. You will work alongside our teams to build the brand across multiple channels.

Engagement and community management. Engagement is a daily duty, not an afterthought. Comments, DMs, and mentions get real responses in the brand's voice, not canned ones — promptly. You will also engage proactively: commenting from our accounts on industry conversations, employee posts, and partner content so the brand shows up in feeds beyond our own. Engagement is a key measurement of this role.

Measurement. You will report monthly on cadence held, engagement rate per post, follower growth, and reach, and on what social is actually producing: shipper inquiries, agent inquiries, and applications sourced from social. You will bring the numbers before we ask for them.

Brand and legal compliance. Ensure all content adheres to brand guidelines and applicable legal requirements, including trademark and copyright rules, music-licensing terms, and the terms of service of each platform.

Crisis and issues management. Follow and maintain a protocol for handling negative comments, PR-sensitive situations, and other reputational risks, including escalation to SVP of Talent Strategy & Marketing and clear judgment on when to respond, when to refrain, and when to pause posting.

Account security and access management. Safeguard account credentials and periodically review who has posting and administrative access across all company accounts.

Other duties as assigned.

Regular, reliable in-person attendance.

What We're Looking For

2+ years running social accounts at a consistent, high cadence for a brand, agency, creator, or organization — with engagement results you can point to, not just a posting history

A portfolio of content you personally made.

Proven growth you have personally drive: an account, format, campaign where the numbers moved and you can explain why

Short-form video is key piece we’d like to see.

Fluency in how each major platform actually works right now — what gets distribution, what gets buried, and how that has changed in the last six months

Ability to perform at a rapid pace with speed and volume

Strong self direction

Strong writing. Captions, hooks, and comment replies are writing, and most social content fails on the words rather than the visuals.

Comfort being visible. You may end up on camera.

The judgment to know what a logistics company should not post

Strong data literacy: reading and reporting the metrics

Willingness to be in our offices and around our sales floors. The content lives there.

Sharp eye for what is current

Bachelor's degree preferred, ideally in marketing, communications, journalism, or a related field. A strong portfolio can offset it.
