After-School Robotics Instructor

Location: San Anselmo, CA
Program: After-School Robotics
Position Type: Part-Time Contract
Schedule: Mondays, 3:30 PM–4:30 PM
Grade Level: 6th - 8th Grade
Start Date: September 14, 2026
Compensation: $45–$65 per session (depending on experience)

About the Role

We’re looking for an engaging and dependable Robotics Instructor to lead a weekly after-school robotics program for students in 6th - 8th Grade in San Anselmo.

Students will explore robotics, engineering, and coding through hands-on projects that involve building, programming, testing, and improving their creations. The goal is to make STEM engaging and accessible while developing students’ creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.

Curriculum and lesson materials are provided.

Responsibilities

  • Lead engaging robotics lessons using provided curriculum.
  • Guide students through building, programming, testing, and improving robotics projects.
  • Introduce engineering, robotics, and coding concepts in an age-appropriate way.
  • Encourage collaboration, creativity, critical thinking, and perseverance.
  • Prepare robotics equipment and lesson materials before each session.
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and positive classroom environment.
  • Communicate professionally with school staff and program coordinators.
  • Submit a brief after-class update following each session.

Requirements

  • Experience working with 6th - 8th Grade students, or students of a similar age range.
  • Experience teaching or facilitating robotics, coding, STEM, or technology-based activities.
  • Applicant must reside in San Anselmo or within 20 miles of San Anselmo.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • Reliable, organized, punctual, and professional.
  • Must maintain clear, timely, and professional communication with the program team.
  • Required to submit a brief after-class update following each session.
  • Must be available for the Fall 2026 program schedule.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Background in robotics, engineering, computer science, STEM, education, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with educational robotics platforms and coding tools.
  • Experience with project-based or inquiry-driven STEM learning.
  • Experience leading after-school, camp, club, or youth enrichment programs.
