Paid Internship | $30 per hour | 10-20 hours per week (flexible)
Mathnasium of Newton is hiring college seniors for a paid Education & Leadership Internship supporting student instruction, team leadership, and daily operations at our math learning center.
This internship is designed for students approaching graduation who want meaningful, hands-on professional experience in education, leadership, youth development, or academic program management.
No prior classroom teaching experience is required, but the ideal applicant has experience working with children through tutoring, camps, coaching, mentoring, or babysitting.
What You’ll Do
- Work directly with students in grades 1–10 using Mathnasium’s teaching methods
- Learn and apply Mathnasium curriculum and instructional strategies
- Support and coach instructors during instructional sessions
- Communicate with parents regarding student progress and goals
- Assist with student assessments and individualized learning plans
- Help with scheduling, organization, and daily center operations
- Support staff training and development
- Help maintain a positive, professional, and welcoming learning environment
- Take on additional leadership responsibilities as you gain experience
This is a hands-on internship where you’ll work directly with students, families, and staff while learning how an education center operates.
Who We’re Looking For
- Current college senior or student approaching graduation
- All majors welcome, and Education and Mathematics majors especially encouraged to apply
- Interest in education, leadership, youth development, psychology, business, or management
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience working with children or students through tutoring, camps, coaching, mentoring, babysitting, classrooms, or similar roles
- Comfortable with math through the high school level
- Organized, reliable, professional, and eager to learn
All applicants must successfully complete a math literacy assessment, background check, and work authorization verification.
