Dunham’s Sports is seeking an energetic, customer-focused Part-Time Cashier to join our retail team. The Cashier is responsible for providing friendly and efficient checkout service while creating a positive shopping experience for every customer.

Position Responsibilities

Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner.

Accurately operate the cash register and point-of-sale (POS) system.

Process cash, credit/debit cards, gift cards, and other forms of payment.

Ensure all transactions are accurate and provide customers with receipts.

Assist with returns, exchanges, and customer questions according to company policies.

Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked checkout area.

Promote Dunham’s Sports programs, promotions, warranties, and customer services when appropriate.

Assist customers with locating merchandise and direct them to the appropriate department when needed.

Help maintain a clean and organized sales floor during slower periods.

Assist with merchandise recovery, stocking, and other store duties as assigned.

Follow company cash-handling, loss-prevention, and safety procedures.

Provide excellent customer service and maintain a positive attitude.

Work effectively with store management and other team members.

Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Previous retail or cashier experience preferred, but not required.

Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Comfortable working with cash and operating a POS system.

Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.

Reliable, dependable, and punctual.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform routine retail duties.

Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
