Aftercare Teacher

Aftercare Teacher (Part-Time)


 

Helios is seeking an aftercare teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. The Helios Aftercare Team is responsible for the supervision of the children who attend the School’s Aftercare program. They provide a safe and supportive environment for Helios students at the end of the school day. Helios is an innovative, independent school community for gifted learners in grades K-8 based on the San Francisco Peninsula in Sunnyvale, CA. Key Responsibilities

  1. Provides student supervision in the school’s Aftercare Program consistent with the philosophy, mission, values, and goals of the school. The Aftercare Program is a mixture of structured and unstructured play led by the Aftercare Lead and will include children from K-8.
  2. Leads arts/crafts/science activities under the direction of the Aftercare Lead.
  3. Performs other duties and oversees special assignments as necessary or assigned by the Aftercare Lead or the Auxiliary Programs Coordinator.

Qualifications

  1. Prior experience teaching and/or supervising children;
  2. Background in childhood development preferred;
  3. Passion for working with children.

Hours

Thursday: 12:00 - 6:00 PM $35/hr 

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday: on call
