Paraprofessional School Assistant

General Duties and Responsibilities ● Responsible for receiving appropriate training in the specific care of a student's physical and medical needs while attending school. ● Responsible for the implementation of those physical and medical needs as prescribed in the training. ● Performs assigned non-instructional classroom duties, such as snack time, toileting, suctioning, and clothing routines. ● Must supervise students while in school and during any outside activities as directed by the supervising teacher. ● Must assist students during any medical emergency that may arise. ● Toileting as needed. ● Other related duties as deemed necessary by the teacher, supervisor, or building principal. Minimum Experiences and Qualification Requirements ● High School Diploma ● Associate Degree or must meet NCLB highly qualified requirements, preferred. ● Previous experience working with children or parenting. ● Must be flexible and sensitive to the needs of children. Building and Hours ● Location TBD ● 33 hours 45 minutes per week (6.75 hours daily)
