HOURS: Sunday School Teacher Director of Jewish Life 9:45 am – 12:15pm Sundays from October through May

PAY RATE: $35/Hour

POSITION SUMMARY:
Make Sundays into fun days! Keshet’s Sunday morning programs provide social interaction, hands-on activities and Jewish connection. The Sunday School Teacher will educate and foster learning about Jewish traditions, rituals, and holidays throughout the Jewish Calendar Year. We are seeking a Sunday School teacher to lead community-based volunteer work and service projects for Sunday School program. The teacher will be responsible for organizing and facilitating meaningful philanthropic opportunities that promote compassion and social responsibility.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Coordinate and lead volunteer opportunities for the participants in Keshet’s Chai School program.

•Leads lessons, crafts, and activities related to Jewish culture.•Follow the set curriculum provided by the program.

•Delegates to and works with support staff and aides to ensure the program runs smoothly.

•Communicate with Program Coordinator on Weekly Basis.

•Delegates to and works with support staff and aides to ensure the program runs smoothly.

•Arrive on time, prepared and ready to work; be reliable in attendance.

•Communicate with parents as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:
•High School Diploma

•Knowledge of Jewish History and Culture

•Basic Hebrew language preferred

•Experience with developmental/intellectual disabilities

•Valid driver’s license and safe driving record
