Digital Video Production Instructor (North Lawndale)
Community TV Network, a non-profit youth media organization is seeking a Digital Video Production Instructor for high school students in an after school program on the South side of Chicago. Our next semester begins in September 2026.
This instructor is primarily responsible for teaching media skills and producing videos focused on youth and community issues across south and west neighborhoods of Chicago.
The program will take place in a high school located in Greater Grand Crossing neighborhood and will meet 3 days each week.
Responsibilities include:
- Recruiting, interviewing and hiring 15 high school students from the high school
- Training 15 young people in digital video production.
- Working with students to produce videos about youth and the neighborhood.
- Managing and submitting completed videos to CTVN’s database server and to the cable TV show/youtube channel Coordinator.
- Managing equipment, time sheets and other teaching materials.
- Attending monthly CTVN staff meetings
Education and experience needed:
- College Degree
- Digital TV/Video production experience a must
- Knowledge/ interest in youth and community issues
- Prior experience working with youth
- Must have a sample reel of film or video produced by you
