The Office of Leadership and Civic Engagement (OLCE) prepares students to serve as changemakers. We develop, promote, and advance civic engagement, leadership development, and meaningful service to create positive social change.
Job Description:
The OLCE Student Assistant for Leadership supports the day-to-day operations of leadership development programs within the Office of Leadership & Civic Engagement, with primary responsibility for supporting the Bronze Experience of the Spartan Leadership Challenge.
- Assist with the day-to-day administrative operations of the Bronze Experience of the Spartan Leadership Challenge.
- Support the Graduate Assistant and professional staff with communication to Bronze participants, including program updates, reminders, deadlines, and opportunities.
- Oversee the weekly curation of Professional Development (PD) opportunities that Bronze participants can use toward program requirements.
- Assist with maintaining accurate and up-to-date information related to Bronze workshops, Professional Development opportunities, and other program requirements.
- Support the promotion of leadership programs and opportunities through tabling, marketing, outreach, and social media.
- Assist with preparation and logistical support for leadership programs, workshops, and events.
- Support major OLCE and Spartan Leadership Challenge events, including the Medallion Ceremony.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requirements:
- Familiar with OLCE offerings (I.e., Spartan Leadership Challenge, Day of Service, etc.)
- Maintain confidentiality, be punctual, and communicate changes in the work schedule in advance.
- Applicant must be a full-time UNCG student enrolled for Fall 2026 who has been awarded and accepted Federal work Study for the 2026-2027 academic year.
- At least a 2.5 GPA
- Applicant should be able to provide friendly and action-oriented customer service
- Applicant should be able to work 3-10 hours per week
Our office is open from 9am-5pm Monday - Friday and we are looking for students who are available for shifts no shorter than 2 hours at a time during our standard work week.
