Drywall Estimator Trainee

Palmer Soderberg, Inc. is currently looking to hire a college graduate who is willing to learn how to be a skilled Drywall Estimator in commercial estimating.

Palmer Soderberg Inc. is a Union Commercial Subcontracting company locally owned and operated in Rochester, MN. PSI specializes in Drywall, Acoustic, Ceramic Tile, Resilient, Plaster and Carpet. We have been servicing Southeastern, MN with quality commercial work for over 50 years. We pride ourselves on honesty, integrity, and respect for our customers. We value the need to be detail oriented to maintain accuracy, high quality workmanship and completing jobs on schedule and on budget.

Skills preferred:

- Ability to read a blue print and estimate how much material and man hours would be required for the proposed job

- Ability to order material and work with General Contractors

- Ability to figure billing for work done

- Ability to communicate professionally with customers and those in the field

- Knowledge of drywall and acoustic materials

- Understanding of the commercial construction bidding and processes

- General knowledge of Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel

- Familiar with On Screen Takeoff Software would be helpful
