Winter 2027 Tax Intern

WSR Certified Public Accountants is looking for accounting students to join our Ann Arbor team as Winter 2027 Tax Interns. This is a great opportunity to gain real-world public accounting experience while working alongside experienced CPAs and learning how professional tax services are delivered to actual clients.

What You’ll Do:

As a Tax Intern, you’ll gain hands-on experience supporting our tax team throughout the busy season. Responsibilities may include:

  • Assisting with the preparation of individual and business tax returns
  • Organizing and analyzing client tax information
  • Preparing tax workpapers and supporting schedules
  • Researching tax questions and assisting with tax planning projects
  • Using professional tax and accounting software
  • Communicating with team members and assisting with client-related projects
  • Learning how tax professionals identify issues, solve problems, and provide value to clients
  • Taking on additional projects based on your interests, skills, and experience

What You’ll Learn:

What We’re Looking For:

We are looking for a motivated accounting student who:

  • Is pursuing a degree in Accounting or a related field
  • Has an interest in taxation and/or public accounting
  • Has strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Is willing to learn and ask questions
  • Can manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Communicates professionally and works well as part of a team

Prior tax experience is not required. We’re looking for students who are curious, dependable, and excited to learn.
