About Legacy

Legacy is a growth-focused technology company built to help ambitious organizations turn marketing into a measurable engine for growth. We combine strategy, creative, media, technology, and data to build brands that matter and systems that perform.

Content is an increasingly important part of how Legacy builds authority, develops audiences, communicates ideas, and creates demand. We're investing heavily in original video, thought leadership, documentary-style storytelling, social content, and high-end branded creative.

Our Creative team also produces content for two media properties of our own:

Reformark is a Legacy Studios brand creating thoughtful, accessible content rooted in Reformed Christian theology, produced with our theologian in residence. Its work brings theological depth, real conversations, biblical teaching, and good storytelling to modern digital audiences.

What Scale Demands is Legacy's business-focused show exploring what actually happens when companies grow, including the decisions, systems, leadership, marketing, people, technology, and operational discipline required to build organizations that can scale. Through conversations with business leaders, founders, executives, and operators, the show moves past surface-level business advice and into what sustainable growth really takes.

The Role

This is a creative and technical role, and it's hands-on. It's for someone who understands that exceptional video takes far more than knowing how to operate a camera or edit a timeline.

You'll be responsible for the creation of high-quality video content, from initial concept and pre-production through filming, editing, motion design, color, sound, and final delivery. We want a creative leader who keeps asking how we can make it better.

You're the craft lead, working alongside our creative director, our production manager, and the executives and guests who end up in front of the camera. You won't be doing this by yourself, and we'll ask what you think before we hand you a brief. Your week moves between client projects and our own brands, and both get held to the same standard.

What You'll Do

On set. Multi-camera podcasts and interviews, brand films, documentary work, customer stories, and advertising creative. Our production manager handles scheduling and logistics. Camera, lenses, lighting, and audio are your calls.

In the edit. Build something people finish watching. Pacing, sound design, audio mixing, color correction and grading, and platform versioning.

After Effects. Motion systems built for our brands and our clients. Animated typography, branded transitions, data visualization, title design, animation, and compositing. We'd like to get past templates for good.

Client work. A good part of your week is client video, which means adapting to different brands, budgets, and timelines without letting the quality slide. Some weeks that's a seminary, some weeks it's a contractor with four locations.

AI tools. Trying new AI-assisted tools is part of this job. Transcription, rough assembly, audio cleanup, upscaling, rotoscoping, and motion are all moving fast right now, and we want someone who tests these tools regularly and tells us which ones actually make the work faster or better. We'll adopt a tool once you've tried it and it holds up.

Before production starts. Ideas, references, treatments, and new formats, worked out with the creative director. Try things that might not work.

The pipeline and the people. Junior editors should get better because they work with you. Ingest, proxies, file naming, archive, backup, and delivery are yours.

Skills We're Looking For

You should be able to make an edit that's technically correct and make people keep watching. Strong instincts around hooks, pacing, tension, emotion, narrative payoff, pattern interruption, and audience retention are essential.

You should be able to design and create high-level motion graphics, animation, compositing, and visual effects using tools such as Adobe After Effects.

We want someone who keeps asking what our content could become, rather than repeating how it has always been produced.

You should be comfortable directing people who have little or no experience appearing on camera, and able to create an environment where they perform naturally.

A working habit of testing new tools, including AI ones, and an honest read on which ones earn a place in the workflow.

We want someone whose goal is better content.

Experience and Technical Requirements

Significant professional experience in videography, cinematography, editing, and post-production, with a portfolio that shows range across formats.

Advanced DaVinci Resolve. Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator.

Professional cameras and lenses, multi-camera production, log footage, exposure, lighting, and wired and wireless audio.

Color-managed workflows, audio mixing, tracking, keying, masking, compositing, encoding, and platform delivery specs.

You should know when something doesn't feel right, and be able to fix it.

Experience mentoring other creatives is strongly preferred.

What Success Looks Like

A successful Senior Videographer & Editor will help Legacy build a video operation where the quality of the creative becomes one of the most recognizable things about our brands.

Over time, you'll help us:

Raise the bar. Each production should come out more deliberate, more polished, and better executed than the one before it.

Build recognizable media brands. What Scale Demands and Reformark should develop visual identities audiences recognize before they see the logo.

Create repeatable systems. Exceptional creative shouldn't depend on chaos. You'll help develop workflows that allow quality and output to grow together.

Develop people. The creatives working alongside you should become noticeably better because they worked with you.

Experiment. Our strongest future ideas won't necessarily look like the content we're making today.

Make work that matters. We want to make content people choose to watch.

To Apply

Send a résumé and a portfolio to lexi@legacy.dev.

We'd love to see the work you'd put your name on, including projects where you led both production and post, After Effects work, and a note on what you actually did. A handful of things you're proud of tells us plenty.

Good enough isn't a reason to publish. If that's how you think too, we'd love to hear from you.
