The Opportunity

Fourddo is seeking a passionate Development Associate to support our fundraising and sustainability efforts as we scale our youth-led initiatives. This is an excellent opportunity for a student interested in nonprofit development, philanthropy, or social impact to gain hands-on experience helping fund movements that matter to young people.

This is an unpaid, part-time fall internship (approximately 12–16 hours per week) with flexible scheduling to accommodate your academic calendar. This role is ideal for someone who is organized, relationship-oriented, and excited about supporting mission-driven fundraising.

About the Role

As a Development Associate, you will support Fourddo’s efforts to build relationships with donors, foundations, and strategic partners who are committed to amplifying youth voices. You will work alongside our leadership team on grant research, donor outreach, fundraising communications, and event support. This role is perfect for someone who is curious about how funding flows to youth-led nonprofits and passionate about democratizing resources for young changemakers.

Key Responsibilities

Grant Research & Administration

• Research funding opportunities from foundations, government agencies, and corporate giving programs aligned with youth and social impact
• Track grant deadlines, requirements, and submission materials
• Assist in organizing grant applications and maintaining documentation
• Help compile data and metrics that demonstrate impact for funding proposals

Donor & Funder Outreach

• Support cultivation and relationship-building efforts with individual donors
• Help maintain donor databases and track engagement
• Assist with thank-you communications and donor updates
• Research prospective funders and create donor prospect lists

Fundraising Events & Campaigns

• Help coordinate logistics for fundraising events, webinars, and donor engagements
• Assist with event materials, communications, and follow-up
• Support campaign planning for special fundraising initiatives
• Help create compelling fundraising materials and asks

Communications & Impact Documentation

• Help compile impact stories and program data for fundraising materials
• Assist in developing case statements and impact summaries
• Support creation of donor reports and impact newsletters
• Help document and communicate how funding creates change

Administrative Support

• Provide general administrative support to the development team
• Assist with scheduling, document management, and data entry
• Help maintain fundraising databases and tracking systems

What We’re Looking For

Required Qualifications

• Currently enrolled student or recent graduate (age 18–25)
• Strong organizational and project management skills
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Comfortable with Google Suite and other digital tools
• Ability to learn quickly and work independently
• Passionate about supporting youth-led social change

Preferred Qualifications

• Interest in or exposure to nonprofit fundraising or grant administration
• Experience with databases, spreadsheets, or CRM systems
• Familiarity with social justice, mental health, or youth-focused initiatives
• Research and writing skills
• Experience with impact measurement or data collection

Internship Details

Commitment: Fall 2026 (approximately 12–16 hours per week; flexible scheduling)
