Campaign Intern
The Darby Hills State Senate reelection campaign is seeking motivated, dependable interns who live in or near the Senate district and are interested in gaining hands-on experience in political campaigns, grassroots organizing, communications, and community outreach. This is an in-person internship, and applicants must be able to regularly travel throughout the district for campaign activities.
Responsibilities
- Conducting door-to-door voter outreach
- Speaking with voters about Senator Darby Hills and the campaign
- Recruiting and organizing campaign volunteers
- Distributing yard signs and campaign literature
- Assisting with community events, volunteer activities, and campaign functions
- Making voter-contact and volunteer-recruitment phone calls
- Entering and maintaining campaign data
- Preparing campaign materials and literature
- Supporting campaign communications and social-media outreach
- Completing other campaign-related projects as assigned
Qualifications
- Dependable, professional, and able to work well with others
- Comfortable communicating with voters and members of the public
- Willing to participate in outdoor and door-to-door voter outreach
- Able to follow instructions and complete assignments independently
- Organized and attentive to detail
- Interested in politics, government, campaigns, or public service
- Available for some evening or weekend activities when needed
- Reliable transportation is preferred because campaign activities will take place throughout the district.
- Must reside in or near the district and be able to regularly report for in-person campaign activities. Applicants who live outside the area and cannot regularly commute to the district will not be considered.
