Job Overview
We are a private wealth advisory practice seeking a motivated Financial Advisor / Paraplanner to join our growing team. We are open to candidates across a broad range of experience levels, from recent college graduates with a background in Finance, Financial Planning, Economics, or related fields to experienced financial advisors with 5+ years in the industry.
This role offers a unique opportunity to learn and develop within an established advisory practice. Early-career professionals will gain hands-on experience in financial planning, investment analysis, client relationship management, and practice operations while working closely with senior advisors. More experienced candidates will have the opportunity to take on greater client-facing responsibilities, contribute to business development, and accelerate their growth toward a lead advisor role.
Advisors with an existing book of business are strongly encouraged to apply as well. Duties
Client Service, Financial Planning & Business Development
- Conduct outbound prospecting activities such as cold calling, emailing, networking, and social outreach to build a qualified pipeline of prospective clients.
- Support and service an existing client base through ongoing relationship management and growth initiatives.
- Assist in developing and presenting comprehensive financial plans and recommendations.
- Gather, organize, and maintain client financial information and documentation.
- Conduct proactive outreach to prospective and existing clients to: Schedule introductory, review, and planning meetings; Follow up on referrals and marketing initiatives; Re-engage dormant or inactive relationships; Assist with building and managing prospect pipelines using CRM systems; Identify opportunities for deeper planning relationships and additional client needs; Participate in client meetings, reviews, and planning discussions; Prepare meeting agendas, summaries, illustrations, analyses, and follow-up action items; Support business development initiatives and practice growth efforts.
- For experienced advisors, assume increasing responsibility for managing client relationships and developing new business.
Operations & Team Collaboration
- Assist with onboarding new client relationships and coordinating account setup.
- Maintain accurate and compliant records within CRM and internal systems.
- Work closely with administrative and operational staff to ensure timely processing and documentation.
- Adhere to firm procedures and applicable financial services regulations.
- Prepare financial plans, retirement projections, investment analyses, and client-ready recommendations aligned with client goals, risk tolerance, and time horizon.
- Assist with investment reviews and participate in client presentations.
- Support ongoing practice management and operational improvement initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience

- Current Paraplanners seeking greater client-facing responsibilities and career advancement opportunities.
- Financial Advisors with 1-5 years of experience looking to expand their planning, relationship management, and business development skills.
- Experienced Advisors with 5+ years of industry experience seeking a growth-oriented platform and team environment.
- Advisors with existing client relationships or books of business are encouraged to apply.
Preferred Skills & Credentials
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Financial Planning, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- SIE, Series 7, and Series 66 (or Series 63 and 65) licenses preferred. Candidates pursuing licensing may also be considered depending on experience level.
- Strong interest in financial planning, wealth management, and client relationship development.
- Understanding of investment products, retirement planning, and wealth management concepts.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- High level of organization, attention to detail, and time management.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a desire to grow professionally and contribute to business development.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Compensation & Career Development
Compensation is commensurate with experience, licensing, qualifications, and existing client relationships.
Compensation may include a combination of:
- Base salary
- Performance incentives
- Production-based compensation
- Revenue-sharing opportunities for experienced advisors
- Advisors transitioning with an existing book of business will receive compensation structures appropriate to their level of production and assets under management.
