Position Summary

The Youth Program Assistant (YPA) Intern supports dynamic programming for youth who have experienced homelessness, helping create opportunities for learning, growth, and connection. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about youth development and community impact.

YPAs design and lead engaging enrichment activities based on their interests and strengths while fostering positive relationships with youth, families, and community partners. Through mentorship and encouragement, they help create a safe, supportive environment where young people can build confidence and thrive.

What You'll Do

Work with staff, volunteers, and program partners to deliver program sessionsPlan, prep and facilitate age-appropriate enrichment activities for youthServe as a role model to youth through consistent attendance and reliabilityAssist with behavior management and redirection as neededAssist with other projects as assigned

What You Bring

Self-starter and self-directed, ability to work independently on assigned projectsExperience with youth (after-school program, camp counseling, tutoring, etc.)Able to work with people from diverse backgrounds and engage diverse youthAbility to adhere to HIPAA and data privacy requirementsWillingness to work on site and directly with youthAbility to commit to full school-year term (Sept. 2026 – May 2027)

Salary: $17 per hour
