Social Media Intern
New Beginnings is a 40 year old non-profit adult support group for people struggling through a life change mainly due to a loss of a relationship primarily from death or divorce. In it’s “Hey Day” around the turn of the century the membership was around 400 members. Currently the membership is around 60 and rapidly aging. We have a website : www.nbmass.org , a Facebook group and a page that has been static for many years. We are looking for a innovative and creative college student to spend approximately 5 to 7 hours a week to initially come to the group meetings on Monday evenings to get a good understanding of the support we provide, and then focus on providing a set of steps to embark on a social media marketing campaign that helps get awareness throughout the south shore area of eastern MA that New Beginnings is there and effectively brings new faces to our Monday evening meetings.
Skills good to have : Computer knowledge, especially working with as many social media sites as possible including Facebook, snapchat, Instagram, X(twitter), YouTube, TikTok among others. Good working knowledge of Gmail, google drive and email lists for marketing.
This project has a high probability of success for the student who has drive and computer savvy with all the social media platforms, experience with google drive, email marketing campaigns using Gmail etc. Results will be easily measurable as we already have the data of what we are seeing currently which is about 1 to 2 new faces per week. We are looking for 3 to 5 and to grow from there. For a small amount of time on a weekly basis, this successful project will make your resume shine and you will certainly obtain a dozen solid references for future jobs along with expanded networking in the area. Much of the online architecture is already in place as mentioned above and you will be working directly with the current webmaster who is looking for that injection of youth and vigor with this marketing internship.
I look forward to meeting you for a fun and rewarding project.
