Part-Time Business Operations & Sales Intern
Arizona Commercial Lighting is looking for a motivated and dependable UArizona student to join our growing Tucson-based business on a part-time basis. This is a paid position offering approximately 4–5 hours per day with flexible scheduling around your class schedule. It is a hands-on opportunity to gain real-world experience working directly with the owner and learning how a small business operates and grows.
The ideal candidate is a business student who is organized, professional, personable, and willing to take initiative. You will have exposure to a variety of areas, including sales, marketing, business development, customer service, research, and day-to-day business operations.
Responsibilities
- Assist with sales and business development activities
- Research potential customers, contractors, businesses, and commercial projects
- Help maintain customer and prospect information
- Assist with preparing quotes, proposals, and other customer materials
- Conduct market and product research
- Help with marketing and social media initiatives
- Assist with scheduling, organization, and general administrative tasks
- Communicate with customers, vendors, and business contacts professionally
- Help with special projects and other tasks that support the growth of the business
- Work directly with the owner on a variety of business-related projects
Qualifications
- Current University of Arizona student, preferably studying business, marketing, entrepreneurship, finance, or a related field
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Professional and personable demeanor
- Comfortable learning new software and technology
- Familiar with Excel
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
- Willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities
This position is ideal for a student who wants more than a typical part-time job and is interested in gaining practical experience in sales, entrepreneurship, and running a small business. As the company grows, there may be opportunities to take on additional responsibility and develop into a larger role.
