Here's what we're looking for in a Marketing Specialist:

Causewave Community Partners is launching a new Shared Services marketing team — a grant-funded initiative that brings professional marketing and communications support to regional nonprofit organizations. The Marketing Specialist is the hands-on executor of that support: bringing plans to life through content creation, social media, and marketing collateral for a portfolio of partner organizations. This is a great opportunity for a marketing professional early in their career to get broad, varied experience across many organizations and mission areas, working closely with the Senior Director of Marketing & Communications and Senior Marketing Manager to plan and execute strategic marketing initiatives for partner organizations.

The Marketing Specialist will be responsible for executing a wide range of marketing and communications engagements with diverse nonprofit partners and mission areas. These may include:

● Providing general marketing support and coordination across multiple partner organizations at once, prioritizing according to guidance from the Senior Marketing Manager and Senior Director.

● Build and maintain positive day-to-day relationships with partner organizations, operating as a helpful extension of their team and delivering work with a high level of customer service and care.

● Executing social media content and posting on behalf of partner organizations, following approved content calendars.

● Supporting the development of materials and collateral such as social graphics, one-pagers, mailers, FAQ language, and email templates within established co-brand and organizational guidelines.

● Supporting website and landing page content updates.

● Assisting with distribution and posting of press releases, email announcements, and other external communications drafted in partnership with the Senior Marketing Manager.

● Supporting the coordination and execution of traditional and digital advertising campaigns.

● Supporting event planning and in-person communications activities as needed.

● Supporting vendor engagement and management.

● Tracking and report on basic marketing metrics (e.g., social engagement, email performance) for partner organizations.

● Helping maintain organized files and documentation of client work to support day-to-day delivery and grant reporting.

Here are some other things to consider when evaluating if this role is right for you:

● Doer: You enjoy hands-on creative and content work and take pride in producing polished, on-brand deliverables.

Relationship builder: You enjoy people and value building deep collaborative working relationships, with your team and with the partner organizations you support.

● Communicator: You can write clearly and adapt tone and content for different organizations and audiences.

Organized: You can juggle requests from multiple partner organizations at once without letting details slip.

Curious: You're excited to learn quickly across many different mission areas and organizational contexts.

Creative?

Preferred experience:

● 2–4 years of professional marketing/communications experience or equivalent internship/coursework.

● Experience with social media platforms and content creation tools (e.g., Canva, Meta Business Suite, Squarespace or similar).

● Something about project management?

● Interest in or exposure to the nonprofit sector preferred, either professionally or as a volunteer.

● Strong writing skills and attention to detail.

● Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).

We are actively working to: increase the diversity of our staff, board and vendors; create an inclusive, respectful and equitable environment; serve our diverse customers with culturally sensitive programs and services; and continually improve Causewave's policies and practices through learning and leadership. However, at Causewave, our diverse backgrounds, perspectives, identities, and talents help us thrive.

Are you our next team member? Application info: We're excited for the future and the addition of another amazing team member to help us fulfill our vision. If you're excited too, apply at: info@causewave.org.

Submissions must include a resume AND either a cover letter or video submission (1-minute max).

The range for this position is $42,000 - 50,000 per year. Actual of ers will be commensurate with experience, within this range.
