Human Resources Change Management Intern
The HR Change Management Project Intern (Non-Technical) position provides an opportunity for a college student or recent graduate to gain hands-on experience in a corporate environment. The intern will work under the guidance of a supervisor and mentor to support business initiatives, process improvements, and data management activities. This role will help the intern develop practical skills in communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and business analysis while contributing meaningful work to the organization.
Experience & Education
Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or related field.
Strong academic standing and demonstrated interest in learning about manufacturing or industrial business environments.
Previous internship, co-op, or relevant work experience is a plus but not required.

Primary Responsibilities
Assist with day-to-day operations and administrative support within assigned department.
Conduct research, data collection, and analysis to support ongoing projects.
Prepare reports, presentations, and summaries of findings for review by leadership.
Participate in meetings and contribute ideas or perspectives on process improvements.
Support the creation or revision of documentation, forms, or communication materials.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams on assigned business projects.
Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all work assignments.
Engage in learning activities, training sessions, and professional development events.
Key Goals and Deliverables
Successfully complete assigned projects and tasks within established deadlines.
Demonstrate growth in professional skills such as communication, organization, and problem-solving.
Coordinate intern networking events across all sites.
Gain a foundational understanding of GEON’s business operations and corporate culture.
Deliver a final presentation or report summarizing internship experiences, outcomes, and recommendations.
Receive positive feedback from supervisor and peers regarding contribution and engagement.
Work Environment & Physical Demands
Primarily office-based with use of computers, office equipment, and communication tools.
May involve limited site visits or tours of operational facilities depending on department.
Occasional standing, walking, or light lifting (<25 pounds).
Must comply with all GEON safety and conduct standards during work and site activities.
Travel Requirements
Minimal travel required; may include short trips for meetings, training, or site visits depending on project needs.
Standard Daily Work
Complete assigned tasks and check in with mentor or supervisor for feedback.
Participate in team meetings and take notes or follow-up actions as needed.
Conduct research, prepare documents, and assist with project coordination.
Communicate progress and challenges to supervisor in a timely manner.

Provide weekly updates on project progress and key learnings.
Attend department or intern program meetings.
Collaborate with other interns or team members on cross-functional initiatives.
Continue development of project deliverables and assist with data organization or reporting.

Participate in training sessions, site tours, or networking events as part of the internship program.
Review progress against internship objectives and receive feedback from mentor or manager.
Update or finalize documentation, reports, or presentations related to assigned projects.
Standard Quarterly Work
Present project outcomes or learnings to department leadership.
Participate in end-of-term performance reviews and feedback sessions.
Evaluate professional development goals and identify next steps for continued growth.
