Disney Entertainment Television Publicity Intern, Fall 2026

About the Role & Program: 

Disney Entertainment Television develops and produces compelling programming and some of the most successful talked-about series on television today! The DET Publicity department is responsible for handling all communication efforts for ABC Entertainment, Hulu Originals, Disney Kids & Family, Freeform, Onyx Collective, FX and 20th Television. As the DET Publicity intern, you would rotate throughout several of the brands to assist teams as needed.

 

This internship is a full-time commitment in the Burbank, California area from end of September/early October 2026 through January 2027.

 

What You Will Do:

As a DET Publicity Intern, you will gain hands-on experience supporting multiple publicity teams across Disney Entertainment Television. You will assist with day-to-day publicity efforts for our television programming and work alongside publicists on a variety of projects and campaigns.

 

Responsibilities will include compiling daily press clips, reviews and raves; monitoring and researching media coverage and entertainment news; booking talent travel and building detailed schedules and itineraries; maintaining and updating press and media lists; and assisting with the development of publicity materials, including press releases, loglines, press blasts, photo memos, talking points and other communications materials.

 

You will also support media pitching and outreach, conduct research to identify relevant press opportunities and story angles, assist with talent and media coordination, and provide on-site support at press days, screenings, junkets, premieres and other media events. The intern will participate in publicity brainstorms, contribute ideas and research to campaign development, and support publicists in executing show-specific publicity strategies and initiatives.

 

This role will provide exposure to the fast-paced, collaborative nature of television publicity and the opportunity to learn how publicity campaigns are developed and executed from announcement through premiere and beyond.

 

Required Qualifications & Skills:

Previous experience in publicity, communications, public relations or a related field through academic coursework, student organizations or an internship

Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, with exceptional attention to detail

Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Ability to conduct research, identify relevant media opportunities and synthesize sensitive information effectively

Strong interest in television, entertainment, media and the evolving communications landscape

Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace; familiarity with Microsoft Teams and other collaboration tools

 

Eligibility Requirements & Program Information

Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements:

Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.

Current Disney Interns, College, International, or Culinary Program Participants: You may only work for ONE consecutive year (12 months) in any combination of an internship and/or program.

Be at least 18 years of age

Possess unrestricted work authorization
