The Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented, professionally minded Rights Management Intern to join our Distribution Department for a paid 3-month internship at 12 hours per week. This role is fully remote and minimum wage pay is dependent on the candidate's location. Strong performance could lead to a permanent position, though this is not guaranteed.
This internship has a clear growth path. Over time, strong performers will have the opportunity to take on client-facing responsibilities, representing Infinite Music directly with artists and partners. If you are a student or recent graduate, who communicates professionally, picks up new concepts quickly, and can work independently once you have been shown the ropes, this role is built for you.
What You'll Work On
- Support beat clearance processes within the Distribution Department
- Respond to and submit copyright claims on behalf of artists
- Assist with publishing registration through rights societies rights societies such as ASCAP, BMI, MLC, and Alltrack
- Document client communications and track tasks in Asana
- Support general administrative tasks that keep the department running smoothly
What We're Looking For
Requirements
- An ideal candidate is based in CA
Open to any major or recent graduate; a background in Music Business, Law, or Business Administration is a plus - Some understanding of copyright, music publishing, and how rights are managed in the industry
- Strong written communication; you can draft a professional email and document information clearly
- Comfortable with data entry and keeping records organized and up to date
- Familiarity with contract negotiation concepts is a plus
- Experience with Asana or similar project management tools is a plus
- Prior exposure to rights societies like ASCAP, BMI, MLC, or Alltrack is a plus

Compensation & Details
- Paid minimum wage
- 12 hours per week commitment
- 3-month term with potential to grow into a permanent role based on performance (not guaranteed)
