Summer 2027 Internships - General Application
The Wausau Woodchucks and Wausau Ignite are seeking qualified individuals to join their internship team for the 2027 Summer! Gain hands on experience throughout all facets of our operations, and help contribute to a top notch fan experience! This summer internship program runs from mid-May through late August. All interns must be available for most home games, along with any additional events throughout the season. Internships offered include experience in the following areas:
- Hospitality Operations
- Ticket Sales/Operations
- Sponsorship and Community Engagement
- Social Media and Graphic Design
- Video and Multi-media
- Retail Operations
- Equipment Management
- Sports Nutrition
- Bookkeeping
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Must be a current college student (undergraduate or graduate)
- Requires ability to work flexible schedule including nights and weekends
- Strong time management, organizations, and attention to details
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to be decisive and problem solve in fast paced situations
- Ability to stand and move around for long periods of time
- Comfortable interacting with all levels within organization as well as outside contacts
- Cooperation, responsiveness, dependability, and proper attitude in dealing with others including co-workers and customers
Who we are:
The Wausau Woodchucks and Wausau Ignite are members of the Northwoods League and are located in Wausau, WI. Annually drawing in more than 50,000 fans from all over the state of Wisconsin, the Woodchucks and Ignite have a reputation of being a fun, family-friendly option for family and corporate entertainment in Central Wisconsin. The Woodchucks and Ignite annually hire 25-30 interns. Former interns have gone on to work for the Minnesota Twins, Tennessee Titans, Pittsburg Pirates, and many other minor league and collegiate league teams across the nation.
