Job Title: Graphic Design Intern – (Part-Time- Seasonal)

Job Summary: By joining the City of Euclid as a Graphic Design Intern, you will have the opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects, gain valuable experience, and make a positive impact on the community.
Job Duties: Under the supervision of the Communication Administrator, the graphic design intern will assist with:
- Asset Design: Design visually appealing and informative materials to help engage the community, making information accessible and engaging. This includes but is not limited to brochures, pamphlets, posters, charts, advertisements, flyers, reports, publications, social media posts, presentations, and videos
- Brand Consistency: Assist in maintaining and developing a cohesive brand image for the City of Euclid across all communication platforms.
- Social Media Presence: Enhance the City’s social media presence by creating eye-catching graphics for posts, helping to increase community interaction and awareness of city events and initiatives.
- Event Promotion: Support the promotion of City events and programs through the creation of promotional materials that highlight the city's offerings.
- Innovative Ideas: Bring fresh, creative ideas to the table that can enhance the City’s image and communication efforts.
- •Flexibility and Adaptability: Provide support on a variety of projects, adapting to the needs of different departments and initiatives as they arise.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of Graphic Software: Proficiency in software such as Canva, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and / or Adobe Express.
- Artistic Techniques: Understanding of a variety of artistic techniques and media. A keen eye for good design.
- Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Technical Skills: Ability to use a variety of programs to create visual and printed media. Some experience with Meta Business Suite is a plus.
- Design Experience: Some experience in the design and production of communication and promotional materials.
- Enrollment in an undergraduate, graduate, degree or certificate program majoring in Graphic Design, Art, Marketing, Communication or other related field. Good academic standing (2.0 minimum GPA.)
Work Environment: Office. Sedentary work: exerting negligible force; occasional
walking and standing. Physical activity: climbing, stooping, kneeling, pushing, lifting, grasping. Perform substantial repetitive motions of the wrists, fingers, and hands.
Pay Grade 9: $12.85/Hour
Hours: Part Time – 10 - 15 hours per week over 16 weeks. Length of internship could be extended with mutual interest. Working days / times negotiable based on a Monday – Friday schedule.
