JOB SUMMARY

The Mobile Outreach Coordinator is a key member of the Outreach team, responsible for performing patient screenings, supporting clinical research activities, and operating Conquest Research’s mobile clinic vehicle. This role provides hands-on support in mobile, community, and healthcare settings while serving as a professional representative of Conquest Research to patients, families, physicians, and community partners. Please note, this position includes an incentive plan on top of base salary.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work alongside the Director of Physician Engagement to assist with community events, education, in-field screening services, and provision of relevant resources
  • Promote awareness of relevant healthcare topics through educational outreach, including seminars, lectures, and social activities
  • Educate potential participants and families/study partners on eligible trials and trial requirements
  • Work effectively and collaboratively with Investigators, clinical team, leadership team, and recruitment to accomplish mutual goals and enrollment outcomes

Mobile Clinic Operations

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the mobile health clinic for clinical research activities
  • Assist with mobile clinic scheduling, site logistics, maintenance, and equipment inventory
  • Complete Conquest Research training in the safe operation and driving of the mobile clinic within 30 days of start date and drive the unit to event locations as needed
  • Coordinate mobile clinic maintenance, including inspections, repairs, and preventive services
  • Oversee the maintenance, calibration, and readiness of clinical, laboratory, and research equipment and ensure secure storage of equipment and supplies
  • Assist with the setup, operation, and breakdown of the mobile clinic at community events, ensuring compliance with safety, infection control, and biomedical waste disposal requirements
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant mobile environment

Community Engagement and Partnerships

  • Develop and execute community engagement strategies with the Director of Physician Engagement to promote clinical trial awareness and participation
  • Build and maintain relationships with community partners, local organizations, underserved populations, physician practices, and other referral sources
  • Represent Conquest Research at local events, health fairs, and public forums
  • Coordinate outreach activities with physician practices and referral sources, including scheduling lunch-and-learn sessions and educational talks

Clinical, Regulatory, and Administrative

  • Collaborate with the CMO, Medical Director, Regulatory Manager, and department leads to ensure screening and protocol appropriateness in mobile and community settings
  • Assist with patient recruitment, informed consent, and data collection in accordance with IRB and regulatory requirements
  • Perform protocol-related procedures as delegated, which may include obtaining medical histories, conducting systems reviews, collecting vital signs, and administering cognitive assessments
  • Prepare phlebotomy kits; collect, label, and process blood and other specimens using appropriate technique, verifying participant identity and maintaining specimen integrity
  • Register participants for pre-screening, provide study-related information, and maintain required protocol and source documentation
  • Enter participant, screening, and outreach data accurately and on time into EDC and CTMS systems
  • Ensure all activities comply with institutional policies, IRB protocols, HIPAA, and Good Clinical Practice (GCP) standards
  • Maintain detailed records of outreach activities, participant enrollment, and community impact
  • Adhere to the Company’s quality and regulatory compliance requirements and ensure all job duties are performed in accordance with company policies and procedures
  • Support and assist in the implementation of new policies and workflows to improve efficiency and outcomes
  • Additional duties/responsibilities may be assigned to meet business needs

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Strong organizational, coordination, and facilitation skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (required)

  • Knowledge of medical terminology

  • Ability to assist in planning and executing community outreach events, including identifying partnerships, staffing vendor tables and tents.
  • Working knowledge of clinical trial protocols, including study-specific inclusion and exclusion criteria
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and accurate data entry in EDC and CTMS systems
  • Ability to handle sensitive participant health information confidentially and in compliance with HIPAA

MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND CERTIFICATIONS

  • Medical Assistant, EMT, Paramedic, CNA with strong clinical experience, or similar healthcare background, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 2+ years of experience in healthcare, mobile health, or clinical research; community outreach experience a plus
  • National phlebotomy certification or appropriate training and work history
  • Good Clinical Practice (GCP) certification or willingness to obtain
  • Current CPR/BLS certification, or willingness to obtain
  • Experience working with patients with cognitive impairment and/or seniors a plus
  • Experience engaging seniors, caregivers, underserved, and diverse populations strongly preferred
  • Experience driving large vehicles or willingness to learn; must maintain an active driver’s license and clean driving record, subject to verification

TRAVEL AND WORK SCHEDULE

  • Capacity to travel throughout Central Florida and adjacent geographies, up to 60% of time each month, sometimes on short notice
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed to support community events, health fairs, and screening activities
  • Ability to work independently and remotely in the field with minimal daily supervision

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and to push, pull, bend, stoop, and reach when setting up and breaking down event equipment
  • Frequently required to stand and walk for extended periods; requires close vision and depth perception sufficient to safely operate the mobile clinic vehicle
  • Work is performed in mobile, community, and outdoor settings, including exposure to heat, sun, and inclement weather at outdoor events
  • Potential exposure to blood and other potentially infectious materials; must follow OSHA bloodborne pathogen, infection control, and biomedical waste standards
