Summer Camp Photographer Videographer

Job Title: Summer Camp photographer/videographer

Location: Krislund Camp & Conference Center

Position Type: Full-Time, Seasonal (Summer)

Job Summary: We are seeking a talented media person to join our team for the upcoming summer season. The ideal candidate will be responsible for taking photos and videos of camp throughout the summer and posting them on social media. You’ll have the opportunity to foster a positive and safe environment where campers can engage in a variety of activities such as high ropes courses, giant swing, ziplines and more.

As the photographer/videographer, you’ll be a key part of creating content to be used to give Krislund a larger presence in local media. If you love the outdoors, enjoy working with kids, and are excited about creating thrilling, memorable experiences, this is the perfect opportunity for you!

Key Responsibilities:

Take pictures and videos of camp every week and post them to camps social media.

Lead campers in a fun and engaging manner, while ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.

Develop and promote a positive, inclusive camp culture that encourages participation, cooperation, and a sense of community.

Supervise and mentor camp counselors, ensuring they understand and execute the activities safely and effectively.

Handle any emergencies or situations involving campers with professionalism and composure.

Foster a positive and supportive atmosphere, encouraging campers to develop confidence and leadership skills.

Lead activities when needed

Qualifications:

Must be at least 18 years old.

Photography and videography skills

Social media experience

Experience working with children in a camp, educational, or recreational setting is preferred.

A passion for working with kids.

Strong leadership and communication skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Current First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain before camp begins).

Must pass a background check.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to stay calm under pressure.

Positive, energetic attitude with a love for adventure!

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience in adventure programming or outdoor education.

Lifeguard certification

Wilderness First Aid or other outdoor certifications.
