Campus Growth Lead
Salty is a new dating app rethinking how people meet online. Instead of endless swiping, Salty uses short, playful games to help people discover compatibility through how they think, choose, and interact.
We're preparing for our NYC launch and are looking for a small group of students to help us build Salty's first campus communities.
The RoleWe're looking for outgoing, creative and highly connected NYC university students to join us as Campus Growth Leads.
You'll be Salty's person on the ground at your university — helping us introduce the app to students, build early communities, experiment with creative growth ideas and understand what actually gets people talking on campus.
This is not a traditional internship where you'll spend your time making presentations. You'll work directly with the founders and have the freedom to test ideas, organize activations and see the results of your work.
What You'll Do- Introduce Salty to students across your campus and social networks
- Help us acquire and activate our first NYC users
- Build awareness through student groups, clubs, societies, group chats and social communities
- Come up with creative ways to make Salty talked about on campus
- Help organize small events, mixers, game nights and campus activations
- Develop relationships with student organizations and campus communities
- Help create authentic TikTok, Instagram and campus content
- Encourage students to invite friends and participate in Salty games and challenges
- Collect feedback from students about Salty, online dating and campus dating culture
- Test different growth ideas and tell us what works — and what doesn't
- Track growth through your individual referral link or code
- Work directly with Salty's founding team on the NYC launch
You could be a great fit if you:
- Are currently enrolled at a university in New York City
- Know your campus and are naturally good at meeting and connecting people
- Are active in campus life or have strong student networks
- Understand TikTok, Instagram and Gen Z culture
- Are comfortable reaching out to people and getting others involved
- Are creative, proactive and willing to try unconventional ideas
- Can work independently and actually make things happen
- Are interested in startups, consumer apps, social products, marketing, events or community building
Being involved in student organizations, Greek life, athletics, fashion, media, entrepreneurship, events, nightlife or other campus communities is a plus — but definitely not required.
You don't need previous marketing experience. We're much more interested in whether you understand your campus, know how to bring people together and have the energy to execute.
Who Will Do Especially WellYou're probably a great fit if you're the person who:
- somehow knows everyone on campus;
- is always organizing something;
- runs a club, social account, event or group chat;
- has friends across several different social circles;
- immediately has ideas for how you'd get 30 students to try a new app.
- Paid, flexible work around your class schedule
- Performance-based bonuses
- Direct experience launching a consumer startup in NYC
- Hands-on experience in growth, community building, events and consumer marketing
- Opportunity to work directly with the founders
- Freedom to test your own growth ideas
- Early involvement in Salty as we build our NYC community
- Opportunity to grow into a larger Campus Lead / City Growth role based on performance
Send us a short introduction telling us about yourself and your university.
Most importantly, answer this: If we gave you Salty tomorrow and asked you to get 30 students at your university to sign up and play their first game within 72 hours, how would you do it?
We care much more about your answer to that question than a perfect résumé.
