About Hemispheric 

Hemispheric is a neurotechnology company that is developing an AI platform for decoding the brain. We collect non-invasive brain activity and behavioral data from human participants, used to train and validate our models. Our Boston site is one of a network of sites where we conduct research studies to collect this data. In this role, you will be part of the data operations team, focusing on clinical research for mental-health disorders, which includes working with both diagnosed patients and healthy controls.

Flexible Mon-Fri to start; evenings/weekends added as shifts expand

Hours 

Number of hrs/week is flexible around classes 

Operating business hours (at start): 

10:00 AM - 6:00 PM 

Shift schedule: 

10:00 AM - 2:00 PM 

2:00 PM - 6:00 PM 

Commitment to 2 shifts/week at a minimum is required. Double shifts optional

Pay 

$24/hour

Undergraduates and graduate students in Psychology, Neuroscience, Cognitive Sciences, Biology, Health/Medical Sciences, Social work, Nursing, and related majors Commitment to 2 semesters at a minimum is required, Seniors are welcome to apply

What you'll do 

• Run participant research sessions onsite, including: greeting participants, walking them through consent, setting up equipment (EEG, and other devices), and guiding them through the research protocol. 

• Collect session metadata and ensure data quality. 

• Follow study SOPs and flag anything unusual. 

• Help maintain the lab space, equipment, and participant scheduling as required. 

Who we're looking for 

• Strong orientation for working directly and helping people, including participants suffering from mental-health disorders. • Previous experience working (or volunteering) with patients suffering from mental-health or brain-health disorders, strongly preferred. 

• Reliable, detail-oriented, and technology literate (with both devices and software systems). 

• Passionate about developing technology and AI for mental health and neuroscience. 

• Available for consistent shifts and willing to train and work onsite. No prior research experience required. Why this is a strong fit for students
