Facilities Intern (10691)

Qorvo’s Internship Program is designed for college students currently enrolled in an accredited Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD program. Qorvo offers real work experience, exposure to upper management, and the opportunity to pursue full-time opportunities, as available.

Qorvo’s Facilities Engineering Internships are offered in our Global Operations business group. Specific projects and responsibilities will be determined based on the business needs at the time of the internship assignment.

 

Responsibilities may include: 

  • Become acquainted with the various chemical and mechanical systems at the Hillsboro campus by reading specs, training materials, and system reviews with respective technicians and engineers.
  • Monitor chemical and mechanical systems performance by using SCADA information and participate in system troubleshooting and repair.
  • Perform audits on chemical and mechanical systems to identify areas for reliability improvements and energy savings.
  • Support high value capital projects on chemical and mechanical systems.
  • Under the direction of a Facilities Engineer and the Facilities Engineering manager, complete a project in approximately 2 months and report out to the Facilities organization.
  • Research new equipment and assess risks/rewards for new and existing chemical and mechanical systems.

 

Qualifications: 

  • Currently pursuing a BS or MS in Mechanical or Chemical engineering
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Graduation date 2028

 

Preferred Skills:

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Self-Starter, good communication skills, and the ability to work in a highly integrated team environment
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Demonstrated mechanical/engineering aptitude

 

 

This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship by the Company.

 

 

Competitive hourly pay commensurate with experience: $31/hr - $42/hr (subject to change dependent on physical location) 

Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. Qorvo reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as external competitiveness and internal comparability. 

Base compensation is one element of Total Rewards offered at Qorvo. More information on the Total Rewards package can be shared upon request.
