2. Quality Control

  • Perform routine visual and in-process inspections.
  • Inspect containers for leaks, defects, contamination, and other visible issues.
  • Perform pH, fill-volume, bioburden, sterility-related, and other QC testing as trained.
  • Accurately record and document QC results.
  • Identify, segregate, and document non-conforming products.
  • Immediately communicate manufacturing or QC issues to management.
  • Assist with investigations, troubleshooting, and corrective actions when required.

3. Inventory & Materials Management

  • Monitor inventory of BPW powder, containers, lids, labels, packaging materials, and other manufacturing supplies.
  • Maintain accurate inventory spreadsheets and records.
  • Assist with receiving, organizing, and storing incoming materials.
  • Monitor stock levels and identify potential material shortages.
  • Notify management when materials reach defined reorder levels.
  • Help maintain sufficient inventory to prevent production interruptions.

4. Packaging & Shipping

  • Prepare shipping labels and documentation.
  • Stage finished products for shipment.
  • Coordinate with shipping carriers and internal personnel.
  • Maintain accurate shipping and traceability records.
  • Assist with loading and staging shipments.

5. Facility & General Operations

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe manufacturing workspace.
  • Clean and maintain manufacturing equipment and work areas.
  • Follow all applicable laboratory, manufacturing, and safety procedures.
  • Support organization of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished products.
  • Assist with process improvement and manufacturing scale-up activities.
  • Take on additional operational responsibilities as needed in a growing startup environment.

Qualifications

Required

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written procedures.
  • Reliable, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks.
  • Ability to perform repetitive manufacturing activities accurately.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a small team.
  • Comfortable working in a hands-on laboratory/manufacturing environment.

  • Experience preparing culture media or laboratory solutions.
  • Experience in a GMP, GLP, laboratory, food manufacturing, or biotechnology environment.

Students and candidates without previous biotechnology manufacturing experience are encouraged to apply. Training will be provided for Hypercell-specific manufacturing and QC procedures.

What You Will Gain

This position provides an opportunity to work directly within a growing biotechnology company and gain practical experience across multiple areas of operations rather than being limited to a single task.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to:

  • Learn the complete lifecycle of a biotechnology manufacturing product.
  • Develop hands-on manufacturing and QC skills.
  • Gain experience with SOPs, batch records, quality control, and traceability.
  • Develop inventory, packaging, and logistics skills.
  • Participate in process optimization and manufacturing scale-up.
  • Work closely with Hypercell's scientific and management teams.
  • Take ownership of important manufacturing activities in a growing startup environment.

Physical & Work Environment

This is a hands-on manufacturing position. The employee should be comfortable with:

  • Performing repetitive manufacturing and packaging activities for extended periods.
  • Standing and moving around the manufacturing area for significant portions of the workday.
  • Wearing appropriate PPE, including a laboratory coat/gown, gloves, eye protection, and other required protective equipment.
  • Lifting and moving containers, supplies, and shipping boxes as required.
  • Working in a laboratory/manufacturing environment.
  • Following strict safety, cleanliness, and quality procedures.

Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who is reliable, motivated, hands-on, and eager to learn. The ideal candidate should be comfortable asking questions and helping wherever needed. Whether you are a student looking for your first biotechnology manufacturing experience or an experienced technician looking for a hands-on role, this position provides an opportunity to develop a broad set of skills while directly contributing to Hypercell's manufacturing operations.
