Job Summary
Aclan Behavioral Services is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and motivated Behavior Therapist to provide individualized behavioral support to children, adolescents, and adults with a variety of developmental, behavioral, and learning needs.
This position is an excellent opportunity for college students, recent graduates, childcare professionals, educators, and individuals interested in psychology, education, behavioral health, ABA, or related fields. Training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide individualized 1:1 behavioral support to clients.
- Implement individualized behavior intervention and treatment plans under the direction of clinical supervisors.
- Support clients in developing communication, social, academic, adaptive, and daily living skills.
- Use positive reinforcement and evidence-based behavioral strategies to encourage skill development and appropriate behaviors.
- Collect and accurately record data related to client behavior, progress, and treatment goals.
- Maintain timely and accurate session documentation.
- Communicate client progress, observations, and concerns to supervisors.
- Collaborate with supervisors, families/caregivers, and other members of the client's support team.
- Participate in required training, supervision, and professional development.
- Follow established safety and de-escalation procedures when supporting challenging behaviors.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Bachelor's degree in psychology, education, special education, child development, social work, behavioral health, or a related field preferred.
- Previous experience working with children, adolescents, or adults preferred.
- Experience in childcare, education, special education, ABA, tutoring, coaching, or behavioral health is a plus.
- RBT certification preferred, or willingness to obtain certification if required.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Reliable, patient, compassionate, and receptive to feedback.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team.
- Genuine interest in helping individuals develop skills and reach their goals.
Work Environment
Behavior Therapists may provide services in a variety of client-centered settings depending on individual needs and treatment plans. The position involves working directly with clients and may include interaction with families, caregivers, supervisors, and other members of the client's support team.
Schedule & Compensation
$20.00–$24.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
5–10 hours per week to start, with the potential for additional hours as client needs and availability increase.
Immediate start available upon hire.
Flexible scheduling based on client needs and therapist availability.
