Finance Administrator

Finance Administrator – Position Description

The Finance Administrator is responsible for supporting the day-to-day financial and administrative activities of an organization. The role involves maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, assisting with accounts payable and receivable, preparing financial reports, and ensuring that financial procedures are followed efficiently and accurately.

Key Responsibilities:

* Process and record financial transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
* Maintain and update accounting records, invoices, receipts, and payment documentation.
* Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
* Prepare and process invoices, purchase orders, expense claims, and payment requests.
* Reconcile bank statements and financial accounts regularly.
* Monitor outstanding invoices and follow up on outstanding payments.
* Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
* Support budgeting, cash-flow monitoring, and financial forecasting activities.
* Maintain organized and confidential financial records.
* Assist with audits and provide supporting financial documentation when required.
* Ensure compliance with company financial policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.
* Respond to finance-related queries from staff, customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
* Liaise with banks, suppliers, customers, and other external parties when necessary.
* Provide general administrative support to the finance department.

Qualifications and Skills:

* Bachelor’s degree, HND, or equivalent qualification in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
* Previous experience in finance, accounting, or administrative support is an advantage.
* Good understanding of basic accounting principles and financial procedures.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP software.
* Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
* Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information.
* Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a team.
