Brandywine Learning Center is recruiting exceptional math and science tutors who can confidently work with advanced high-school students.

We are especially interested in candidates who can tutor one or more of the following:

  • AP Calculus AB or BC
  • AP Statistics
  • AP Chemistry
  • AP Physics
  • Precalculus
  • Advanced Algebra II
  • SAT/ACT Math and Science

This position can be an excellent fit for a graduate student, engineering student, pre-med student, STEM major, teacher, engineer, scientist or quantitative professional looking for a flexible side position that uses their academic strengths.

A Small Schedule Is Fine

You do not need to be available every day.

Many BLC tutors work only a few hours each week.

Tutors establish their recurring availability, and we match students to the days, times and subjects they are able to teach.

Weekday afternoon/evening availability is valuable, and Sundays are particularly useful.

Why BLC?

BLC has served Chester County students since 2003.

Tutoring takes place at our established Chester Springs learning center, so tutors do not need to find clients, travel from house to house, collect payments or run their own scheduling.

We make every effort to create efficient schedules with consecutive students whenever possible.

Compensation

Approximately $32–$40 per tutoring hour for advanced/AP-level assignments, depending upon subjects taught, qualifications and experience.

Candidates who can also qualify to teach SAT/ACT test preparation may receive additional tutoring opportunities.

What Matters Most to Us

A teaching credential is not required.

We care most about whether you:

  • genuinely understand advanced mathematics or science;
  • can explain it clearly to a teenager;
  • are patient and personable;
  • are dependable;
  • and can consistently commit to the tutoring hours you select.

Applicants should live, study or work within reasonable commuting distance of Chester Springs/Exton.
