AI Systems & Marketing Intern

Build the tools. Don't just use them.

Most companies are still arguing about whether AI is real. We're already building with it.
 

Infinity Energy has been installing solar across New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut since 2009, and we've put in over 10,000 systems. Now we're rebuilding how the company runs from the inside out, using Claude Code and ChatGPT to build internal apps, automate workflows, and take work that used to eat a full day and turn it into something that runs by itself.
 

We need someone to help build it. That's this job.
 

You'll sit inside Claude Code and ChatGPT every day, building real applications that real people at this company use. Not mockups. Not a slide deck about AI strategy. Working tools that go live and get used the same week you build them.

 

What you'll actually do

  • Build internal apps and tools in Claude Code and ChatGPT that solve real problems for our sales, design, marketing, and operations teams
  • Map how work moves through the company today, then design the version of it that runs on AI
  • Test new AI products and platforms as they launch, and tell us straight which ones are worth adopting
  • Turn manual, repetitive processes into automated workflows that run without anyone babysitting them
  • Prototype fast, break things, fix them, ship the next version
  • Work directly with the owners of the company. Not three layers down. Directly.

Who we're looking for

You do not need experience. You need horsepower.
 

We're looking for someone who:

  • Is genuinely smart and picks up new systems fast. You can look at a messy process and see the structure underneath it.
  • Thinks in flows. When someone explains how a job moves from sold to installed, you're already sketching the steps and spotting where it breaks.
  • Is curious and self-directed. You'd be poking at these tools on your own time anyway.
  • Communicates clearly. You can explain what you built to someone who has never touched AI.
  • Wants to build things. Ideas are cheap here. Finished tools are what count.

 

Recent grads and about-to-graduate students strongly encouraged. Any major. We care about how you think, not what your degree says.

You're joining a 17-year-old company with real revenue, real customers, and real problems worth solving, at the exact moment it's being rebuilt around AI. The person who builds that layer becomes the person who owns it.
 

There's no ceiling drawn on this role. If you're good, this turns into a full-time position running AI and automation for the company, and it turns into that fast. You'll be building a portfolio of shipped, working systems while your friends are still writing cover letters.
 

You'll also learn a real business from the inside. Sales, design, permitting, installation, marketing, finance. You'll touch all of it, because you'll be automating all of it.

  • Pay: $18-20/hour, depending on experience
  • Start: Join the team from day one, with a clear path to transitioning into a full-time role as you grow.

About Infinity Energy

Infinity Energy (Infinity Solar Systems LLC) was founded in 2009 by two childhood friends, one from roofing and one from electrical. We're one of the few contractors in the country that's both a full solar installer and a GAF Master Elite roofing contractor. Everything is in-house: consultation, engineering, permitting, installation, electrical, and roofing. No subcontractors, no finger-pointing.
