Midwest Filtration is a leading filtration company that specializes in customized and highly engineered filter and filtration media solutions. Operating out of a 130,000ft2 facility currently, with an experienced and proven team as well as a wide range of design and engineering services, Midwest Filtration thrives to provide OEM customers with a rapid response and the best solution in the areas of woven and nonwoven media. The current expansion of 50,000 ft2 will continue to support the robust growth of our business.

Summary:

Oversee customer accounts while actively pursuing new sales opportunities within your designated area.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Promote and sell the Company’s products and services to assigned customers and to new customers in assigned territory.
  • Advocate and communicate customer priorities with internal stakeholders while balancing Midwest Filtration goals and objectives. 
  • Grow territory sales through the identification, development, and engagement of prospective customers within assigned territory that align with the products and services offered by Midwest Filtration.
  • Maintain and oversee a business development pipeline report, ensuring that internal stakeholders stay informed about the requirements needed to assist new customers.
  • Prepare and communicate price quotations for new and existing business while ensuring margins are within company approved guidelines. 
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to lead all technical, quality, and service issues related to assigned customers.
  • Provide customers with the support necessary to ensure they can maximize utilization of Midwest Filtration products and services.
  • Manage and respond to new inquiries from assigned territory in a timely manner.
  • Support Midwest Filtration’s sales and marketing efforts in general. This may require assisting and supporting other customers’ specific efforts and business objectives from time to time.
  • Occasionally attend and represent Midwest Filtration at trade shows as assigned.
  • Take an active role and follow ISO procedures, which cover bidding, quoting, design, reviewing contracts, entering orders, and ensuring customer satisfaction. Document all procedures in an acceptable and accessible format.
  • Perform other projects and duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required

3-5 years of sales experience preferred

Filtration industry experience a plus

 

Language Skills:

Basic language skills required.

 

Mathematical Skills:

Strong math skills are required. Individual regularly calculates selling price and profit margins, converts metric and imperial units, determines finished media roll weights, roll diameters and conversion yields. 

 

Reasoning Ability:

Individual must have the ability to make independent decisions that may be of a complex nature. 

 

Computer Skills:

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and affiliated software platforms. The candidate is required to demonstrate proficiency in utilizing Salesforce and Epicor database applications daily.
