Griffin Healthcare Advisors
About Griffin Healthcare Advisors
Griffin Healthcare Advisors is a growing healthcare consulting firm that helps physicians successfully launch, operate, and grow independent medical practices. We work with physicians across the country on the business side of medicine, including strategy, finance, marketing, staffing, operations, compliance, and practice growth.
We are a small, highly capable team with an ambitious vision for growth and a strong reputation for delivering thoughtful, high-quality work. As our client base expands, we are building deeper areas of expertise within our consulting team, and marketing is one of the first capabilities we are investing in.
We are looking for a Marketing Specialist to become a key resource for marketing-related work across our client portfolio. Your work will focus primarily on helping physician-owned medical practices strengthen their brands, attract patients, promote services, and grow.
For the right person, this is an opportunity to join Griffin at an exciting stage, develop meaningful expertise in healthcare marketing, and grow into a more senior role as our marketing capability expands.
Who This Role Is Perfect For
This role is ideal for someone with several years of hands-on marketing experience who wants more ownership, variety, and impact than they might find in a traditional corporate marketing position.
You may currently work for a marketing agency, healthcare organization, professional services firm, medical practice, or growing business. You enjoy both thinking strategically and rolling up your sleeves to execute.
One day you might evaluate how a practice is positioned against competitors. Another day you might write website copy for a physician launching a new practice, develop an email campaign, improve a Google Business Profile, create a referral-marketing initiative, or build patient-facing materials for a new service.
You do not need to come in knowing everything about healthcare marketing. We will teach you our clients, our methodologies, and the business of private medical practice. What matters most is that you bring a strong marketing foundation, excellent judgment and writing skills, curiosity, creativity, and the ability to turn ideas into polished finished work.
The Role
The Marketing Specialist will serve as a key member of Griffin's client delivery team, with primary responsibility for marketing-related work across our client portfolio. You will work closely with our client relationship managers to understand each client's priorities and translate them into specific marketing strategies, campaigns, content, and implementation-ready deliverables.
For established practices, your work may include marketing opportunity assessments, promotional campaigns, website reviews, online-presence improvements, email marketing, social media content, competitor analyses, referral initiatives, patient-facing materials, and blog content. For our startup clients, it may include creating marketing plans, branding and messaging, website strategy and content, creation of initial marketing materials, and other early-stage projects.
Key Responsibilities
Marketing Strategy & Client Work
- Evaluate client marketing needs, growth priorities, target audiences, services, and competitive positioning.
- Identify practical opportunities to strengthen patient acquisition, referrals, retention, and awareness.
- Develop focused marketing plans and recommendations tied to specific business objectives.
- Research competitors, local markets, and marketing opportunities, and help prioritize the initiatives most likely to create value.
Digital Marketing, Content & Campaigns
- Review websites for messaging, content, user experience, calls to action, and conversion opportunities.
- Write and refine website copy, email campaigns, blog content, social media posts, referral materials, and other patient-facing communications.
- Support local SEO, Google Business Profile optimization, online reputation, and other digital touchpoints.
- Develop promotional campaigns and create or coordinate collateral such as flyers, postcards, service menus, and in-office materials.
- Ensure work is polished, on-brand, and ready for implementation.
Practice Launch Marketing
- Help physician founders develop launch marketing plans, positioning, branding, messaging, and creative direction.
- Develop website strategy and content and coordinate with outside website developers, designers, and other vendors when appropriate.
- Help create the foundational marketing assets needed for a successful practice launch.
Consulting & Project Execution
- Work closely with Client Relationship Managers to understand priorities and deliver high-quality work.
- Manage multiple client assignments and deadlines simultaneously.
- Take ownership of projects from initial concept through completed deliverable and incorporate feedback quickly.
- Present clear, thoughtful recommendations and maintain a consistently high standard of work.
While marketing will be your primary focus, Griffin is a collaborative consulting firm. You may also be cross-trained in other areas of medical-practice consulting and periodically assist with HR, recruiting, operations, research, or other client needs. As Griffin grows, we expect this role to become increasingly concentrated in Marketing.
What Success Looks Like
- Become a trusted internal resource for marketing-related client work.
- Consistently produce polished, thoughtful, client-ready deliverables.
- Develop a strong understanding of how independent medical practices attract and retain patients.
- Improve the quality, consistency, and efficiency of Griffin's marketing work.
- Help build repeatable templates, tools, and best practices that can scale across our client portfolio.
- Begin identifying marketing opportunities proactively rather than simply executing assignments.
We are not hiring someone simply to fill an open seat. We are looking for someone who can help us build what Griffin's Marketing capability becomes.
Qualifications
- Approximately 2-5 years of professional marketing experience.
- Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills.
- Experience developing marketing campaigns, content, or growth initiatives.
- Understanding of digital marketing fundamentals, including websites, SEO, social media, email marketing, and online reputation.
- Strong research and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Comfort working independently while collaborating closely with a small team.
- Strong judgment, initiative, curiosity, and willingness to learn.
Experience in healthcare, agency or client services, website strategy, local SEO, Canva, marketing analytics, or small-business marketing is helpful, but not required.
