About the Role
Teach safe, fun, and engaging swim classes for youth and adults. Support skill growth, confidence, and a positive experience for every participant.
What You Will Do
- Teach swim lessons using YMCA standards
- Support skill development with clear, positive coaching
- Ensure safety through active supervision
- Demonstrate required swim skills during classes
- Model YMCA values in all interactions
Qualifications
- Age 16 or older
- Emotional maturity and sound judgment
- Group exercise experience preferred
- Ability to pass a swim test
- Must obtain HCP, First Aid, and Lifeguard or Aquatic Safety Assistant within 90 days
- Current YMCA or American Red Cross swim lesson certification, or water exercise certification
