THE POSITION

  • LOCATION: Norwich, CT
  • POSITION NUMBER: 26112
  • SCHEDULE: Full-time (40 hours per week), First Shift (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM)
  • SHIFT DETAILS:
    • Week 1: Friday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday
    • Week 2: Saturday, Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday
    • Includes every other weekend and holidays as assigned

ABOUT US 

DMHAS is a health care agency whose mission is to promote the overall health and wellness of persons with behavioral health needs through an integrated network of holistic, comprehensive, effective, and efficient services and supports that foster dignity, respect, and self-sufficiency in those we serve. 

SMHA is a community mental health agency serving adults throughout Southeastern Connecticut, providing outpatient services, case management, crisis support, respite care, and forensic programs. It also oversees all DMHAS‑funded behavioral health services in the area.

SMHA's Mobile Outreach Team provides crisis services including 24/7 assessments, intervention, hospital and crisis bed screening, referrals, brief counseling, and support calls. The team responds in the community daily from 8:00 AM to midnight to assist individuals experiencing psychiatric or substance‑related crises.
