An established and highly respected neurology practice in Miami, Florida, with more than 25 years of service to the community, is seeking a dedicated Neurologist to join its team and gradually step into a leadership role as the practice’s future physician.

The current physician and practice owner is preparing for retirement and is committed to ensuring a thoughtful and seamless transition. The incoming neurologist will have the unique opportunity to work directly alongside the current physician for approximately one year, receiving hands-on mentorship, clinical guidance, and an in-depth understanding of the practice, its patients, and its operations.

Rather than starting from scratch, you will step into an established patient base, experienced practice infrastructure, and a trusted reputation within the community, while having the time and support necessary to develop confidence and independence.

Responsibilities

The neurologist will provide comprehensive neurological care across a diverse patient population, including:

Perform comprehensive neurological examinations, evaluations, and diagnostic assessments.

Diagnose and manage a broad range of neurological conditions.

Develop individualized treatment plans, including medication management and appropriate procedural interventions.

Perform or oversee appropriate neurological procedures, including lumbar punctures and botulinum toxin treatments, as applicable to the physician’s scope of practice.

Review and interpret diagnostic studies, including MRI, CT, and other neurological imaging.

Coordinate patient care with specialists including cardiology, neurosurgery, psychiatry, radiology, rehabilitation, and other healthcare professionals.

Provide continuity of care across outpatient and, when applicable, inpatient settings.

Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant medical documentation within the practice’s EMR/EHR system.

Participate in case discussions, care coordination, and quality-improvement initiatives.

Contribute to clinical education and, when available, research or professional development initiatives.

Work closely with the current physician throughout the transition period to ensure continuity of patient care and a smooth transfer of clinical knowledge and responsibilities.

Qualifications

MD or DO from an accredited medical school.

Completion of an accredited Neurology residency program.

Board certified or board eligible in Neurology.

Active or eligible medical licensure in the State of Florida.

Strong clinical knowledge of neuroanatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and the diagnosis and treatment of neurological disorders.

Comfortable working with EMR/EHR systems and diagnostic imaging.

Strong clinical judgment and commitment to high-quality patient care.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work collaboratively with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.

Interest in developing a long-term role within an established medical practice.

Additional experience or training in areas such as neurocritical care, pain medicine, immunology, or other subspecialties is a plus.
