Supply Chain Coordinator

We are currently hiring for a full-time Supply Chain Coordinator to work out of our main headquarters in Carlyle, IL. The Supply Chain Coordinator is responsible for providing coordination, communication, data, and schedule support for the Flow, Marketing, and Transport functions within Supply Chain Planning & Operations. This role supports the timely and accurate execution of daily supply chain activities by helping prepare schedules, validate data, communicate updates, maintain documentation, and support internal and external stakeholders. This role participates in after-hours Supply Management & Logistics Emergency Hotline coverage.

 

Duties & Functions

  • Support Flow, Marketing, and Transport associates by preparing, updating, and distributing schedules, reports, plan summaries, and communication materials needed for daily execution.
  • Coordinate released plans, schedule updates, logistical schedules, and associated documentation across Flow, Marketing, and Transport teams to support the proper movement of pigs.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to live haul movements, animal movement schedules, supply chain activities, Health Certificates, and Interstate Agreements.
  • Provide timely updates to internal and external stakeholders regarding schedules, changes, service interruptions, and relevant movement details.
  • Assist with customer service support for Production Operations, Production Partners, processing plants, live animal buyers, veterinarians, animal care, transport carriers, and internal Supply Chain team members.
  • Build foundational knowledge of flow planning, marketing schedules, transport coordination, inventory movement, live haul execution, and how supply plans, customer commitments, and production requirements interact.
  • Shadow and support associate-level tasks to develop readiness for future Supply Chain associate roles.
  • Complete additional projects, assignments, and process support tasks as needed.
  • Participate in after-hours Supply Management & Logistics Emergency Hotline coverage.

Minimum Requirements

Education

Associate’s Degree required, Bachelor’s Degree preferred

Business Administration, Agriculture, Supply Chain, Operations, Accounting, or related field

Experience

1 year of administrative, supply chain, logistics, production, customer service, or data-entry experience preferred

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Knowledge of:

  • Microsoft Office programs, especially Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Office operations and basic supply chain documentation.
  • Production, animal movement, and live haul support processes.
  • Basic understanding of Flow, Marketing, and Transport interactions.
  • Regulatory movement documentation such as Health Certificates and Interstate Agreements.
  • Supply chain processes, systems, and customer service expectations.

Skilled in:

  • Clear and concise verbal and written communication.

  • Build working relationships with Supply Chain, Production Operations, Production Partners, carriers, packers, veterinarians, and other internal/external customers.
  • Identify discrepancies, exceptions, constraints, or service interruptions and escalate appropriately.
