Position Summary
The Test Engineer Intern (TEI) position is located in our Auburn, AL corporate office and spans multiple semesters with part-time and full-time options. The TEI will possess strong organizational and problem solving skills and have the ability to execute thorough evaluations of firmware, hardware, and software supplying the engineering team with important information to resolve issues quickly and completely.
Outlined Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Design and perform test plans
- Design and execute long-term and automated tests
- Use and/or develop validation tools
- Use Code Composer Studio and Xilinx tools to load and test incremental firmware builds
- Keep organized/detailed list of test actions
- Report issues timely and concisely
- Work closely with and take direction from the engineering team
- Assess priorities and reallocate resources daily
Abilities
- Strong organizational, prioritization, and time management skills
- Strong problem solving skills
- Ability to learn application-specific support tools
- Use Spectrum/Logic Analyzers and Scopes
- Ability to multitask and coordinate with other departments
In addition, this position requires the TEI to be assertive, teachable, and inquisitive while taking ownership of issues faced.
Educational Requirements and Experience:
- Currently seeking an engineering degree.
- Electrical and Computer Engineering or Computer Science majors preferred.
- Experience in the technical field is desired.
Job Type:
- 25-40 hours per week
- Part-time Internship while earning degree
