Early Childhood Teacher
The Learning Circle is hiring Full and Part-Time Early Childhood Education Teachers who are committed to early education. We are building a school family of educators who put the needs of children first. Our teachers facilitate learning through play, offering opportunities for children to grow their confidence, autonomy, and problem-solving skills. Qualified candidates will be eager to learn new methods and capable of meeting our high standards.
Candidates Must Be Able To:
- Create and/or implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans that align with school standards and play-based practice
- Follow developmentally appropriate teaching practices
- Foster children’s social-emotional development through modeling and direct instruction
- Collaborate with assistant teachers to create a nurturing classroom environment that encourages curiosity and exploration
- Complete formal and informal assessments to monitor children’s development and adapt teaching practices accordingly
- Communicate appropriately and knowledgeably with families about children’s development
- Engage with children and facilitate learning through play
- Display classroom management skills, using proven strategies and best practice
- Maintain classroom cleanliness and organization, following state licensing and sanitation guidelines
Physical Requirements:
- Lift up to 50lbs, repeatedly
- Stand and walk for long periods
- Easily move between standing and sitting on the floor
- Perform various tasks such as sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and participating in gross motor activities
Background Screening Requirements:
- Candidates must be able to pass a criminal background screening and fingerprinting process
