Mechanical Engineering Co-op Student/Intern (On-site)

Work Location: 27360 Drake Rd, Farmington Hills, Michigan 48331 

(On-site position)

Electronics Business Unit - Development Department

 

Scope:

  • The co-op student will support ongoing development projects and open projects within the Mechanical Development group.
  • This program is designed to prepare students for future full-time positions.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Learn about the design and development of electro-mechanical junction boxes.
  2. Create and maintain 3D fuse box designs, design changes, and drawings using Unigraphics NX.
  3. Interpret, maintain, and develop schematics and bills of materials (BOMs).
  4. Prepare materials for testing and provide support during testing activities.
  5. Work with the team on continuous improvement activities.
  6. Support open projects within the Mechanical Development group.

 

Qualifications Required:

  • Undergraduate level, enrolled in Mechanical Engineering curriculum.
  • A junior-level student is preferred; sophomores and possibly seniors may also be considered.
  • Unigraphics (NX) experience required.
  • Minimum overall G.P.A. of 3.0.
  • Good English language skills, both written and verbal.
  • 15 hours minimum during the school months (Day Shift, Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm ET).
  • Pay Rate: Senior: $17, Junior: $16, Sophomore: $15, Freshman: $14 per hour
