Position Overview

The Birthday Party Director is responsible for overseeing and leading birthday parties at Head Over Heels Gymnastics. This position ensures that every party runs smoothly, safely, and on schedule while creating a fun, energetic, and memorable experience for the birthday child and their guests.

The ideal candidate is energetic, responsible, organized, comfortable working with children, and able to confidently lead a group while providing excellent customer service to families.

Responsibilities

Party Leadership

• Arrive on time and be fully prepared before each scheduled birthday party.
• Set up the gymnastics area and party room prior to the arrival of guests.
• Welcome the birthday child and their guests and help families understand the party schedule.
• Lead and supervise gymnastics activities, games, obstacle courses, and other age-appropriate activities.
• Keep children engaged, active, and excited throughout the party.
• Maintain a fun, positive, and energetic atmosphere.
• Ensure the party stays on schedule and transitions smoothly between activities and the party room.
• Lead the group safely and appropriately based on the age and ability of the children.

Safety & Supervision

• Maintain constant supervision of all children during gymnastics activities.
• Enforce all gymnastics facility safety rules and party guidelines.
• Use appropriate spotting and safety techniques when necessary and within training.
• Address unsafe behavior quickly and appropriately.

Party Room & Clean-Up

• Assist with setting up tables, chairs, decorations, and party supplies.
• Help families with the transition from the gym to the party room.

Assist with serving cake, hoodsies and drinks as directed by the family.

• Keep the party room clean and organized throughout the event.
• Complete all cleanup duties at the conclusion of the party, including returning equipment and leaving the party area ready for the next event.

Customer Service

• Provide friendly, professional, and enthusiastic service to parents and guests.

Answer basic questions about the party and the gymnastics facility.

• Help create a positive experience that encourages families to return to Head Over Heels for future events and programs.

Qualifications

Must be able to work Sundays on a consistent basis.

Experience working with children preferred.

• Gymnastics experience is preferred but not required.
• Must be energetic, enthusiastic, and comfortable leading groups of children.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Dependable and punctual.
• Able to work independently and take initiative.

Comfortable working in an active environment.

• Must be able to safely supervise and participate in age-appropriate physical activities.

Physical Requirements

This position requires the ability to:

• Stand, walk, bend, squat, kneel, and move around the gymnastics facility for extended periods.
• Participate in active games and gymnastics activities.
• Assist with equipment and party setup/cleanup.
• Safely supervise children in an active gymnastics environment.

Schedule

Birthday parties are primarily held on Sundays. The Birthday Party Director should be available for scheduled Sunday parties.
