YMCA Tumble Instructor I – Youth Programs

About the Role
Support youth programs by leading safe, fun, and engaging activities in sports and movement‑based classes. Create a positive, noncompetitive environment that helps children grow in confidence and skill.
What You’ll Do
- Lead activities in tumbling.
- Supervise participants to ensure safety and engagement
- Demonstrate basic technique and form
- Communicate clearly with preschool to middle school aged children
- Maintain a safe space through visual inspection
- Model YMCA values in every interaction
Qualifications
- Experience in youth sports or teaching is preferred
- Minimum age 16
- Basic knowledge of youth sports or movement activities is preferred
- Ability to demonstrate basic technique and form
- Ability to communicate with preschool to middle school aged children
- Ability to visually inspect participation space for safety
- Current certifications in First Aid, Safety and Risk Management, Child Abuse Prevention, and New Employee Orientation
- Or ability to obtain within 90 days
